So, Bennifer are finally married, after the longest break in history! We look at JLo’s stunning engagement which sealed the deal, second time round and reveal how you can have a gorgeous green engagement ring of your own – without the million dollar+ price-tag!

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finally tied-the-knot. They were originally the talk of the town when they got engaged back in 2002 and fondly referred to as ‘Bennifer’. Photos and stories about the couple were everywhere and Jennifer proudly showed off the huge 6.1 carat pink diamond engagement ring.

However, extensive press intrusion took its toll and they postponed their wedding in 2003 citing, the excessive media attention had led to them feeling, “The spirit of what should have been the happiest day of our lives could be compromised.” Shortly after, the couple split and both went on to marry other people, have families and we thought that was it.

Then, almost 20 years later, when everyone had just about forgotten about the couple of the 00s, they’re back together and this time they didn’t hesitate. In July 2022 they tied-the-knot in Las Vegas.

Jennifer said, "They were right when they said, 'all you need is love'. We are so grateful to have that in abundance, a new wonderful family of five amazing children and a life that we have never had more reason to look forward to. Stick around long enough and maybe you’ll find the best moment of your life in a drive through in Las Vegas at twelve thirty in the morning in the tunnel of love drive through, with your kids and the one you’ll spend forever with. Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things – and worth waiting for."

This time round, Ben proposed with a trinity style, giant 8.5 ct green diamond ring, flanked by two diamonds, set in a platinum band – rumoured to be worth between $5 and $10 million! The incredible green diamond was sourced by Ilan Portugali of Beverly Hills Diamonds, and the ring was designed by Tamara Rahaminov and Nicol Goldfiner, of Rahaminov Diamonds. It’s such a remarkable ring and J-Lo specifically loves the color green as she believes it gives her good luck when she wears it. She may have a point, just look at the positive publicity when she wore that unforgettable Versace dress at the Grammy’s, in 2000. 

Green is Queen

Jennifer said, "I always say that green is my lucky color. I realized that there are many moments in my life where amazing things happened when I wore green." So, a green engagement ring has real significance to her.
